During the 2024 election cycle, one of the most remarkable gains was President Donald Trump and the GOP’s success among voters in the Gen Z and Gen Y generations. Trump’s improved vote share among voters 18-29 by eleven percent and six percentage points among voters aged 30-49 is a testament to the resilience of his young base. This significant demographic shift signals a sustainable future for conservatism, instilling a sense of reassurance for the GOP and America.

It is one thing to have a solid electoral performance against an entity in the Democratic Party with a below-thirty percent approval rating among American voters. The difference now is the current approval of the policies that the Trump Administration is perpetuating as priorities on issues such as mass deportation and, more importantly, on nationalist economic matters.

With Trump’s concentration on tariffs, many in the mainstream media have attempted to paint voters, especially independents, as being anti-trade war and fearing market instability. However, it is different for the younger generation. Economic concerns were a top priority for forty percent of 18-29-year-olds, who favored Trump by a 22-point margin on issues such as tariffs and the trade war Trump is currently commencing with abusive countries such as China. With priorities like inflation, cost of living, the struggling housing market, and job security, young voters view Trump’s views on issues like no tax on tips, tariffs, and the trade war as needed goals for the Administration to hone in on as putting America first before all else.

These gains have faced opposition from entities such as the mainstream media, social media grifters, and the Marxist left. However, alternative media have played a significant role in countering this. Platforms such as podcasts, live streams, and alternative conservative news organizations have gained massive followings and attention, particularly among the same generations with which Trump has gained traction. Social media stars like Jake Paul, The Nelk Boys, and Adin Ross have provided platforms for President Trump. At the same time, long-form interviews with Joe Rogan, Lex Fridman, Theo Von, and others during the 2024 election cycle have further amplified his message.

Not only is Trump making these gains among voters, but the influence of alternative media on the 2024 election has given credence to right-wing stars that they so rightly deserve.

Jack Posobiec, Donald Trump Jr., Charlie Kirk, Tim Pool, and their media platforms have only grown since 2024 due to these gains among the younger generations. It is no longer cool among young voters to sit around, read newspapers, listen to the radio, and watch mainstream media spit out the same talking points across all television channels available. Now, they crave to watch two people sit down, talk about life, and be willing to comment on how the culture desperately needs change, instead of the same campaign or political speech being delivered to them repeatedly.

Disrupting the status quo in politics has always been viewed as positive, and no one feels that more passionately than the younger generations of voters. With spending cuts, harsh but effective immigration policies, and the trade war being put at the forefront of the Trump agenda, young voters crave a shift in the culture. This desire for change to counter systematic issues that the United States government has had for far too long is inspiring. Gen Z and millennials advocated for the change agent that Donald Trump promised he would be to the deep state, establishment media, and Washington D.C., and since his approval ratings amongst these generations remain high even through media blacklisting, America can be sure that the next generation of voters is trending heavily conservative due to the success of MAGA.

As we advance, President Trump and MAGA need to prioritize the nationalist and populist issues that have continuously won young voters over. Regardless of media and leftist scrutiny, the upcoming generations’ participative priorities in political discourse and elections are far more important than many think. Thanks to the Trump Administration and its policies, the gains conservatives have made look more sustainable than ever. By emphasizing the importance of these nationalist issues, we can keep the younger generation of unabashed conservatives engaged in the political realm.
